Psycho Syd
Syd was born in Manchester and grew up on a council estate. He was nicknamed Psychedelic Syd which was later shortened to Psycho Syd.
He stopped eating animals at five years of age and became a Manchester City football fan three years later. He saw the folly of a boring life in a dead end job in the gloomy northwest of England and set off having adventures in the tropics.
He has four children to three women!. He keeps in contact with all his kids. He has been a single dad to two of his children, 24 year old Eugene since the age of two and 13 year old Jo since the age of 4.
In January 2012 He was living the dream in Vientiane the capital of Laos. He had found the perfect location and the perfect partner..in the blink of an eye he was living the nightmare.
His dream lover had dumped him. He was all alone in cold rainy Blackpool. UK and had been diagnosed with inoperable stage 4 cancer with a maximim life expectancy of just six months..
Even worse he was alone with his two young children aged 14 and 4 who had no one else but their dying father. They needed him.
Syd decided to fight and much to everyone’s astonishment beat the cancer. He reinvented himself as an author.
His first book was launched in October 2019 and six months later almost 2000 copies had been sold. The feedback has been staggering.
He is now writing his follow-up book, he sparkles with happiness and hope and has a wickedly warped sense of humour.
In October, 2020, he returned to the tropics to live the dream on an island in the sun..
